GL Accountants - Latvia, Lithuania
In Budapest SSC, with 4 days home office

• Overall responsible for the dedicated general ledger process defined by the direct Team lead or indirect GL Manager, or Finance leader (including training, SOP creation, process flow preparation)

• Play an active role in the transition of Accounting processes from European entities to Hungary and actively shape a new SSC in Budapest

• Responsible for month end closing activities including journal bookings, reporting, reconciliations with high quality and timeliness

• Be involved in day-to-day operations and participate in the periodical closing processes.

• Balance Sheet and PL account reconciliation

• Fixed Asset and IFRS 16 Accounting, Cost center allocation

• AP and AR subledger reconciliation

• VAT report creation – VAT declaration

• Reporting (intrastat, statistical)

• Active role during internal and external audits.

• Follow rules and regulations and ensure KPIs are met. 

• Active participation in solving identified problems.

• Be adherent to agreed service levels, policies and procedures and support in updating process manuals/relevant work instructions.

• Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship

• Identify, evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)

• Other tasks, defined by the direct supervisor or by the employer.

• During the employment Employee is obliged to follow all policies, rules and regulations in effect of Europart Hungária Kft

• 3-4 years expereince in Accounts payable (SP) accounting, or even 1-2 years of experience in general ledger (GL) accounting
• SAP (or other ERP system) knowledge
• College or University degree in Finance with major in accounting or equivalent qualification
• Advanced English language knowledge is a must (Latvian or Lithuanian language knowledge is an absolute advantage)
• Very good understanding of the AP or GL processes
• Complete familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
• Entrepreneurial & Self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently
• Strong team-player who can build and motivate a process team
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right time
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong customer focus with the goal to make life easier for the customer
• Ability/willingness to travel - once circumstances allow to do so
